She traveled to Gaza for the first time in her life to continue her university education. Her wish was to finish her studies and work, and on the day of her graduation, it felt like a wedding. Her sister says: “I cared for her as if it were my day, not hers. We did everything she wanted. Dodo, the beloved one of the whole house, was incredibly gentle. Although I’m five years older than her, our minds were alike, and we had the same playful spirit. Not a day went by during the war without us talking until dawn because she was scared of the sounds and missiles. My dear sister, my soul, for 40 days during the war, she never left the house, and when she finally went out that day, she was in such a hurry, as if she was rushing to receive her degree. She and my sister-in-law, but the despicable occupation killed her in cold blood and destroyed her dreams, along with ours.”
